Learn to sketch a watercolor on location. You choose your location! Pack up your paints and take your art on the road! If you prefer to sketch digitally, you might find some new ways of looking at things here.
- This class is for anyone who would like to make watercolor sketches of their travels, whether they are near or far.
- You will learn how to use a travel watercolor brush pen
- You will learn how to choose minimal supplies to pack up and go
- I will show you the supplies that I choose to pack and why.
- There are PDF's available for download. They include a list of supplies and travel images for your use
- This class is appropriate for all levels, but some watercolor knowledge is helpful
At the end of this class you will have 2 finished watercolor sketches (or another media, if you prefer).
We will start with some practice warm ups to get accustomed to using the watercolor brush pen. Please post your practice! It’s fun to see how they can be applied to your future sketches.
Next we will take a test run by collecting our supplies and bringing them to another location in your house. It’s a good way to double check that you will have everything you need to make a watercolor sketch on location.
The final project will be out on a location of your choice! All of our sketches will be different and beautiful in their own way. I’m very excited to see uploads of your work in the projects. It will be fun for everyone to see where you decide to set down your paints and sketch! I hope that this class inspires you to bring your art with you when you leave home.
