This course is for anyone currently asking, “What is my next role? What is the trajectory of my career? What challenges or responsibilities do I want to take on? Which industries or workplace culture do I want to work in?” The only requirement is a willingness to put in the work to get to the next step in your career.

Syllabus

WEEK 1
Job Search Overview
In this module, you’ll get an introduction to the course, as well as begin your journey of planning and searching for your next role, including an overview of the job search.

WEEK 2
Preparing for Your Job Search
In our second week, we’ll start preparing for our job search. This will include everything from creating your career goals to deciding what you want in your next role to choosing which of your qualifications to highlight.

WEEK 3
Finding and Applying
As the name suggests, we’ll be exploring how to find and apply for jobs that could be your next role. There are lots of things you can do to both prepare and to be more successful in your search, and we’ll discuss all of that this week!

WEEK 4
Interviewing
In week 4, we look at what is perhaps seen as the most daunting part of the job searching process: interviewing. By the end of this week, you will have plenty of skills and resources to conduct an interview successfully, bringing your chances of getting that next role even higher.

WEEK 5
Next Steps
In our fifth and final week of this course, we’ll look forward to after the interview and what your next steps will be, whether you get the role or not. No matter which way it goes, you will have learned something about the interview process, and gained valuable insights about the opportunities available to you as well as practiced your interviewing skills. That’s definitely a win!
