En este curso usted podrá identificar los aportes narrativos del escritor colombiano Gabriel García Márquez a la literatura universal a través del estudio de tres de las grandes obsesiones del autor: el poder, la historia y el amor.

Usted tendrá la oportunidad de gozar de la lectura de las siguientes obras: La increíble y triste historia de la cándida Eréndira y su abuela deslamada (1972), El Otoño del patriarca (1975), Crónica de una muerte anunciada (1981), El amor en los tiempos del cólera (1985), El general en su laberinto (1989) y Del amor y otros demonios (1994).
Al estudiar de forma cronológica estas obras publicadas después de Cien años de soledad (1963), usted reconocerá la evolución narrativa de García Márquez.
Adicionalmente, usted tendrá la oportunidad de profundizar en diferentes temas como: la novela del dictador, las particularidades de la nueva novela histórica, las influencias literarias del autor, el tema de la vejez, entre otras.
Finalmente, al profundizar en el universo narrativo de García Márquez después de Macondo, usted se dejará seducir por la riqueza de su lenguaje y entenderá por qué este escritor es considerado uno de los grandes genios literarios de todos los tiempos.
A través del estudio de estas obras usted:

WEEK 1
La increíble y triste historia de la cándida Eréndira y de su abuela desalmada
En este módulo estudiaremos estos cuentos publicados entre 1961 y 1972, a partir de cinco momentos fundamentales: lectura de la obra, breve mirada al autor, lenguaje y estructura, espacio y sus funciones, dimensiones del tiempo.

WEEK 2
El otoño del patriarca - Parte I
En este módulo estudiaremos El otoño del patriarca publicada en 1975, a partir de cinco aspectos fundamentales: una breve mirada al autor y los personajes. Al final del módulo se destinaremos un tiempo de lectura y en el siguiente módulo continuaremos con la segunda parte del análisis de esta obra.

WEEK 3
El otoño del patriarca - Parte II
En este módulo concluiremos el análisis de El otoño del patriarca (1975), a partir de cinco aspectos fundamentales: el lenguaje y estructura, el espacio y sus funciones y las dimensiones del tiempo.

WEEK 4
Crónica de una muerte anunciada
En este módulo estudiaremos Crónica de una muerte anunciada publicada en 1981, a partir de cinco aspectos fundamentales: una breve mirada al autor, el lenguaje y estructura, los personajes, el espacio y las dimensiones del tiempo.

WEEK 5
El amor en los tiempos del colera
En este módulo estudiaremos El amor en los tiempos del cólera publicada en 1985, a partir de cuatro aspectos fundamentales: una breve mirada al autor, el lenguaje y estructura, los personajes, el espacio y las dimensiones del tiempo.

WEEK 6
El general en su laberinto - Parte I
En este módulo iniciaremos el estudio de El general en su laberinto publicada en 1989. Luego destinaremos un tiempo de lectura y en el siguiente módulo continuaremos con la segunda parte del análisis de esta obra.

WEEK 7
El general en su laberinto - Parte II
En este módulo concluiremos el análisis de El general en su laberinto (1989), a partir de cinco aspectos fundamentales: el lenguaje y estructura, los personajes, el espacio y sus funciones y las dimensiones del tiempo. Resaltaremos que El general en su laberinto presenta características de la nueva novela histórica y lo invitaremos a que reflexione acerca de las particularidades de este tipo de novelas.

WEEK 8
Del amor y otros demonios
En este módulo estudiaremos Del amor y otros demonios publicada en 1994, a partir de dos aspectos fundamentales: el lenguaje y los personajes.
