This comprehensive course includes 10+ hours of training, assignments, peer-to-peer learning, and more to help you craft a high-impact learning module by the end of this course.

Corporate trainers, instructional designers, or other L&D professionals looking to design a more engaging course and improve learning outcomes.

What can I expect?
Activities will be assigned weekly and you will have the opportunity to work in teams and connect with design experts worldwide. During this 5-week course, we suggest setting aside 2-3 hours per week.

Course Timeline and Assignments

Week 1
Foundations of Pedagogy
Learn key elements to creating clear learning objectives that capture what you want your learners to achieve.
Activity:
Design learning objectives for your module and form teams with others to collaborate with on future assignments.

Week 2
Module Design
Analyze and provide feedback around module design utilizing a rubric.
Activity:
Collaborate with team members to collectively analyze a sample module design.

Week 3
Design Your Assignment
Discover the importance of assignments in project-based learning and the role they play in your learning experience.
Activity:
Design an assessment that corresponds with your learning objective.

Week 4
Course Content
To create or curate? Identify how to best to support your learner's ability to achieve learning objectives.
Activity:
Create or curate relevant content for your module and provide peer feedback.

Week 5
Prototyping
Receive and incorporate peer feedback into your design - a crucial element of 'rapid prototyping.'
Activity:
Provide feedback on your peers' module submission and collaborate with your team to tweak your module design.
