In Acrylic 101, we start with the basics of Acrylic Painting and help connect to intermediate techniques. Lesson 1 is the first lesson in our full course at AcrylicUniversity.com. At the end of this lesson, I want you to begin getting a feel for how your brushes move paint around on your canvas. Try creating different edges and textures. Use all your brushes and experiment with your colors. Try to apply some of the paint thick and some thinner. Be creative and have fun. The goal of this exercise is to begin understanding how your tools and paints work and also to gain a sense of freedom as you paint. You can’t make a mistake with this exercise, so just have fun!
