Color Theory Part 1- Understanding Color Relationships (Skillshare)

I am a high school graduate and soon to be a college student. I plan on studying artwork in college like I have done in high school. Creating artwork has always been a big part of my life. As a child when I started drawing I would spend my days doing that rather than playing video games like my friends. I have been making artwork for a far back as I can remember and that is why I am excited to share what I have learned.

I am a huge proponent in experimenting in art and learning something new. I often try new art mediums and every time I learn something I can apply to other mediums and elevate my artwork. This experience has taught me many lessons and my understanding of these topics lead me to want to teach and share it.
This class will teach you the fundamentals of color theory through exercises of color mixing. This class is for anyone who wants to better understand colors and pick colors for a purpose and a reason. Picking colors for day to day tasks will become more meaningful and easier like editing photographs, picking paint for a room, decorating, special media themes, and of course creating artwork.
I hope you join me in this part 1 class to color theory and get as much value from it as I have. I truly hope you enjoy this class and find value in what I am teaching. Thank you for watching, sharing, and participating. I'm so grateful for you all and cannot wait to share more classes with you!
Create a booklet of exercises and chat sheets to learn and implement color theory into your artwork.
There are four pages total for this beginners class covering:
1.Mixing Black And White- how to mix colors, how to create your own tonal scale, how to mix black and greys
2.The Color Wheel- tones of colors, color mixing, and color relationships

  1. How to Confidently Mix your Own Colors- color matching to a neutral paint swatch
