Esta materia de corte teórico forma parte del programa especializado introducción a la Inteligencia Artificial, aunque puede tomarse de manera independiente. Las ciencias cognitivas estudian el conocimiento, por lo que abarca a una diversidad de disciplinas, tales como la psicología, neurofisiología, lingüística, filosofía y también la inteligencia artificial.

Por una parte, las ciencias cognitivas pueden ayudarnos a construir sistemas que exhiban una inteligencia más sofisticada. Por otra, los avances y experimentos en inteligencia artificial pueden ser útiles al resto de las ciencias cognitivas.
En este curso cubrirá brevemente la historia y conceptos más relevantes de ciencias cognitivas, relacionándolos con temas revisados en el Programa Especializado.

What You Will Learn

  1. Conocer la historia y los conceptos principales usados en ciencias cognitivas.
  2. Reflexionar sobre la relevancia del cuerpo, el entorno, la cultura y tecnología y los procesos dinámicos en el estudio de la mente.
  3. Revisar problemas abiertos en cognición y conciencia artificial, al igual que aspectos sociales de la cognición.

Syllabus

WEEK 1
Ciencias cognitivas
En el módulo 1 se revisará la historia de las ciencias cognitivas para introducir los conceptos más relevantes en el estudio de la cognición.

WEEK 2
Mente, cuerpo y entorno
En el módulo 2 se explicarán los conceptos de mente encarnada, mente embebida, mente extendida y mente enactiva, al igual que su relevancia en ciencias cognitivas.

WEEK 3
Cognición y conciencia artificial
En el módulo 3 se revisarán temas relacionados con la cognición artificial, la influencia social en la cognición y el estudio científicos de la conciencia.
