Qual é o papel das bibliotecas escolares na escola atual? Como podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento das literacias das crianças e jovens? Com este curso irá explorar estas vertentes.

Este curso aberto oferece uma oportunidade para conhecer e explorar as potencialidades da biblioteca escolar no desenvolvimento das literacias, em especial na sua articulação com o contexto de sala de aula. Como pode a biblioteca escolar apoiar a leitura? Que estratégias podem ser usadas para desenvolver competências nas áreas da literacia da informação e da literacia para os média?
Vamos analisar conceitos e explorar formas de incrementar o uso da biblioteca escolar e dos seus recursos no desenvolvimento transversal das várias literacias indispensáveis para a construção de um percurso educativo de sucesso, mas também, num horizonte mais vasto, para a construção de uma cidadania ativa e responsável.
O curso destina-se sobretudo aos profissionais da educação, nomeadamente aos professores nas diferentes áreas curriculares. Mas tem igualmente interesse para bibliotecários da rede pública e todas as pessoas que se interessam pelas problemáticas que são objeto de reflexão.
Com a frequência deste curso irá:

  • Reconhecer o valor de novos modos de aprendizagem e de integração curricular associados à formação para as literacias;
  • Analisar o papel da biblioteca escolar no desenvolvimento das literacias em contexto educativo;
  • Problematizar as questões relacionadas com a leitura nas suas várias vertentes;
  • Reconhecer a existência de diferentes abordagens e técnicas para desenvolver a literacia da informação e para os media.
