Produce Your Hit
For you students who took "The Basics of Songwriting" Course, this project is a continuation of the first course, where we had you write a song about the person or thing you love the most.
Now the assignment is, is to get the gear you need (or borrow it from a friend), and produce that song! Post it for the class as an mp3 and share some steps you took in creating it, any unique things about your production, any favorite samples, sounds plugins, or whatever you feel. We love to hear interesting ideas and we learn new tricks from you all the time!
Don't worry if you're a beginner. The most important thing is just to DO IT, and to PUT YOUR WORK OUT THERE.
The Pros weren't always pros. Remember sometimes you have to be brave enough to be "bad" before you are "great"!

Copyright for Multimedia (Coursera)

Copyright questions about different formats (data, images, music and video) can be especially difficult. Sometimes the law specifically distinguishes between these different formats, and in most cases there are media-specific considerations that impact a copyright analysis. In this course we will look at four different media, paying special attention to the unique issues for each one and the kinds of information that is important when making copyright decisions for each type of material.

Vocal Layering: Leads and Background (Skillshare)

In this class we will be looking at a few vocal layering methods that will help thicken out our lead vocals as well as create full background vocals. The lead layering found in the first few videos is a great practice to filling out a chorus and can also be used to get a wide modern vocal sound at any point in the song. In the last video we look at separate background vocals and how variation in timbre can lead to a wide professional sound.
