Audio digital con Pure Data (Coursera)

En este curso aprenderás los principios del audio digital a través de Pure Data, un lenguaje de programación gráfica enfocado en la creación y procesamiento de sonido. Con este fin abordaremos, de manera general, las diferentes herramientas que ofrece este lenguaje. Más específicamente, veremos cómo grabar, reproducir y procesar sonido en Pure Data, y abordaremos también técnicas básicas de síntesis de sonido.

WEEK 1
Generalidades del lenguaje y construcción de un sistema de audio básico
En este módulo, se hace una introducción al entorno de programación de Pure Data, con especial énfasis en las herramientas que necesitas conocer para construir tus propios instrumentos musicales.

WEEK 2
Los principios de la síntesis digital de sonido
En este módulo, revisarás los fundamentos de la síntesis digital de sonido. De manera puntual, revisarás los principios teóricos de la síntesis de sonido y aprenderás a programas diferentes tipos de onda y diferentes técnicas de síntesis. Al final, revisarás cómo controlar los sintetizadores digitales a través del protocolo MIDI.

WEEK 3
Grabación, reproducción, procesamiento y manipulación de sonido
En este módulo, observarás cómo grabar, reproducir, manipular y procesar sonido con diversos objetos de señal de audio, con la finalidad de introducirte a las posibilidades de Pure Data para trabajar con archivos de sonido.

WEEK 4
Optimización, organización y comunicación de patches en Pure Data
En este módulo, revisarás diferentes formas de organizar un patch en Pure Data; además, observarás cómo enviar y recibir datos con distintos protocolos dentro de Pure Data y hacia otro programa con el objetivo de controlar objetos e intercambiar datos.
